Student Life at FNCS

A Christ Centered Environment

At Far North Christian School, student life is grounded in a Christ centered environment where academic growth, personal responsibility, and spiritual development go hand in hand. Our goal is to provide a nurturing space where students thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.

Lunchtime & Outdoor Play

Every day includes time to eat, play, and reset. Outdoor recess happens when weather allows, with warm indoor alternatives during colder days.

Lunches

Parents are responsible to provide food for their children, and to inform the office if their child has any food sensitivities (Nuts, milk, gluten, etc.).

Microwaves and refrigerators are available.

We do not provide a “hot lunch”.

If you are interested in children’s nutrition and/or coordinating a more nutritious option, please contact us for getting involved.

Recess

When temperatures are warmer than 0 degrees, pre-K and K students will have outdoor recess with appropriate winter gear.

When temperatures are warmer than -20 degrees, older students can have outdoor recess if they have appropriate winter gear.

Indoor recess is available during colder temperatures.

Partnering with Far North was the best investment I’ve ever made for my daughter. She comes home happy, full of great questions, and inspired by her wonderful teachers.

– FNCS Parent

FNCS has been such a blessing to our family. This is my boys’ first year here, and they are in kindergarten for a second time after previously attending in the public school district. The growth we’ve seen since coming to FNCS has been incredible.

When my boys started, they were struggling not only with letters and numbers, but also with confidence, behavior, and social-emotional skills. In just one year, they have grown into confident, capable learners who are truly ready for first grade. I especially love how FNCS meets each child at their individual level, using a mastery-based approach rather than placing them strictly by age. That has made all the difference for my boys.

The staff’s care, consistency, and faith are evident in everything they do and woven throughout the curriculum. They don’t just teach about Christ—they reflect Him daily, and because of that, my boys feel safe, supported, and cared for.

We are so grateful for Far North Christian School. They are not just teaching our boys—they are helping shape who they are becoming, academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
